Learning experience
The learning curve at the FORAD simulation is very steep. But since the competition element provides extra motivation, the goals are reached with less effort and the answers are found faster. The quality of the overall experience is only limited by the participants' own competitiveness and willingness to invest in themselves and their team.
Finance Skills:
The focus of the simulation is on finance decisions and the participants develop expertise in multiple areas:
- Financial planning and analysis, capital markets challenges, risk management, international taxation, valuation
- Understanding the big picture and how certain decisions may affect other areas of the company
- Learning how to read complex financial statements and other data reports and use those for strategic decisions
Leadership Skills:
Just as importantly, the simulation also teaches a number of crucial leadership skills:
- Practice strategic thinking in competitive and unpredictable environment; assess key trade-offs, prioritize and focus
- Become an effective communicator within the team, but also while presenting the company
- Set rules and exhibit accountability
- Evaluate performance, identify mistakes and learn from them
